Director of Branch Reporting

The Director of Branch Reporting will lead our branch accounting functions. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the activities of Branch Reporting.?The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record with extensive experience as a lead finance and accounting manager. The position will report to the CFO and provide monthly financial statements, P&L reports, and budgeting analysis.?

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enhance current and introduce new reporting and analytics aimed at providing visibility to branches through business intelligence and various metrics.
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations aimed at introducing business and/or financial efficiencies.
  • Understand key drivers of branch profitability and performance while supporting branches requiring improvements.
  • Creation and delivery of frequent verbal and written presentation of branch financial information and insights to branch leaders.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders and executive-level management across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Branch Reporting personnel in order to investigate and understand past performance.
  • Evaluate performance of the business by analyzing past data, expected data, as well as predicted data while calculating financial profitability metrics.
  • Research G/L or other accounting discrepancies and interact professionally and appropriately with branch managers or other departments to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Accurately complete month-end assignments in a timely manner.
  • Perform variance analysis of financial statement accounts.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with a major in finance, accounting, business, or equivalent preferred.
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of data analysis, reporting, or analytics experience.
  • Mortgage Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills along with a detail-oriented nature
  • Data-driven mindset while also understanding potential courses of action based on the data

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
