International Supply Chain Supervisor

Duties:
-Perform complex international purchasing functions, including planning and establishing supply chains in China, and interacting with Chinese vendors for purchasing highly complex, unusual, technical or high value materials, supplies and services from China.
-Oversee the cost savings in purchasing initiatives starting from identification of purchasing requirements and providers through to release to operations, achieving annual cost savings exceeding 2% of net controllable costs, including collaborating with Curtiss-Wrights engineering, quality, operations, and sales for integrated operations plans.
-Plan, negotiate terms of contracts, and work to expedite purchase processes to support Curtiss-Wrights production schedules.
-Negotiate and settle with international and domestic suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, and losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering change notices.
-Evaluates bids, select and recommend suppliers and negotiates price, quality, delivery and service.
-Prepare logistics and purchasing reports and analyzes reports of inventory, production, and costs to ensure ongoing timely supply of raw material, services, and components to support Curtiss-Wrights high quality, cost-saving, production processes.
-Perform project management of existing and new products; Follow up on awards through completion of strategic orders or projects. Supervise Curtiss-Wrights planner-associates in support of the above planning activities.
-Supervise the maintenance of the ERP data system and its integrity, which includes the current purchase and manufactured parts data (price, lead time, supplier data, etc) in the ERP system (Infor LN).
-Supervise and occasionally act as backup to the planning associates, including: evaluate the material requirements plan (PRP and MRP), generate and adjust production orders and subcontract purchase orders in support of MRP requirements, and communicates areas of concerns to appropriate Curtiss-Wrights departments, individuals, and suppliers.
-Conduct supplier site visits domestically and internationally, as necessary.
-Monitor suppliers delivery and quality performance in accordance with business metrics.
-Advise management and accounting of all standard cost variances.
-Advise all concerned of significant technological and economic trends and conditions.
-Work with accounts payable to alleviate any price, quantity or delivery issues to assure payment to purchase order terms and conditions
-Keep abreast of ISO procedures in respected area of responsibility.
Requirements:
MBA degree in Supply Chain Management plus 2 years experience in job offered or as a Materials Control Specialist in engineering division. Email resume toEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
