Patient Care and Support Representative

Part-time 25-29 hours; various shifts between 9am and 6pm Monday-Friday
Basic Function:
The primary function of the Patient Care and Support Center Representative is to assist new and existing patients with their dental needs, schedule appointments and address patient questions and concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
oAnswer high volume of inbound calls
oSchedule appointments for new and existing patients in our clinical software program
oMaintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information in our clinical software program
oAnswers questions/concerns by verifying requested information
oResolve problems in a timely manner by clarifying issues; research and explore answers and alternative solutions; implement solutions; escalate unresolved problems to Team Lead/Manager
oProvide office information (address, location, directions, etc)
oInform and educate patients on current promotions and programs (Share a Smile, Vivid, Specialties)
oCommunicate with office teams concerning schedule changes
oComplete patient correspondence as required/needed
oDocument all necessary call information according to Hudec Dental policy
oOther duties as assigned

oEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 6 months demonstrated telephone customer service experience
1-2 years, Dental Office experience/knowledge a plus
oAbility to work a flexible schedule: i.e. Monday - Thursday within the hours of 7:30am-7:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-4:00pm, and/or Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm
oComputer Skills: Intermediate computer skills, strong keyboarding skills and knowledge or Microsoft Office products

Courteous with strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills including effective listening and problem solving skills, superior time management and prioritization skills, ability to effectively communicate with all team members as well as all levels of management, ability to work in a positive, fast-paced environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
