The primary function of the Payment and Claims Coordinator is to facilitate all relationships between our practice and all insurance companies providing payment for services to ensure accurate and timely payment for all services provided, to improve the understanding of how to utilize the benefits available to our practice's best interests and otherwise contribute to the continued success and profitability of the practice.

Offices receive Company Support from departments including:
Billing, Marketing, Call Center, Procurement, IT, Facilities, Human Resources, Legal, and more! Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintains and updates database(s)/spreadsheet(s) by entering new and updated patient claim information.
Maintains and updates master website insurance booklets Verifies status of patient claims with various insurance agencies Tracks and follows up on pending and processed claims for payment Charges claims out on insurance company portals Sort insurance claims and mail daily if necessary Request additional documentation from offices Run reports utilizing information obtained from offices and insurance portals if applicable Scans EOBs to H-Drive and Scanning EOB into NEA, then submitting claims to secondary plans Completes data entry into H-Drive Contacts insurance companies on no-pay/denied procedures if necessary Assist when needed sorting mail & Answering phones.
Request, process and log into Dental Vision Insurance refunds.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
0-2 years Computer Skills:
Clinical software used in the office, Microsoft Office Language Skills:
Ability to respond to patient inquiries, and effectively communicate with patients and others within the organization.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
