2nd - 7% ; 3rd - 10% As a Senior Machinist, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing and inspecting detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions.
You will utilize a variety of machining tools and equipment, such as mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and other advanced machinery.
Your expertise in mathematical and geometrical calculations will be essential for determining machine setup and executing precise machining operations.
Additionally, you will be responsible for performing minor equipment repairs, maintaining a clean work area, and upholding high standards of quality and efficiency.
Your experience in proving out CNC programs will also be valuable when required.
Responsibilities:
o Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions to manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools.
o Operate advanced machining tools and equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and more.
o Utilize mathematical and geometrical calculations to determine machine setup and perform precise machining operations.
o Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth operation.
o Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines to eliminate hazards.
o Uphold exceptional levels of quality and efficiency in all machining processes.
o Verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Experience:
o Extensive experience as a Machinist or in a similar senior role.
o Proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
o In-depth knowledge of advanced machining tools and equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and CNC machines.
o Strong mathematical and geometrical skills for precise calculations and setup.
o Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing superior-quality work.
o Ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior team members.
o Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
o Proven experience in proving out CNC programs.
